There are a lot of Network Marketing companies here in the Philippines that are just sprouting up each day. I decided to create this opinionated standard to guide people on how to evaluate if a Network Marketing Company here in the Philippines should be considered as a viable option for passive income or not. What I am stating here is completely my own criteria.

10 aspects to take note of before joining an MLM company:

Product / Service - Products must be tangible, fit for resale and not exclusive to members. It should also be within an acceptable price range.

Compensation Plan - The compensation plan should be based on products sales and not on number of distributors recruited.

Progress - The Company should be in the production stage so that the reputation and credibility has been put in place by the marketers.

Reputation - Products must be well marketed already. The company should have allocated a budget for marketing materials like videos, ads, etc.

Monthly Maintenance - Product Maintenance should be applied. This will ensure that distributors are selling the product.

Incentives - Incentives or rank achievement given should be based on number of sales generated by the distributor.

Legalities - Legal Documents like SEC, DTI, and other documentations.

Reach - The company should be marketing both in local and international market.

Testimonials - There should be genuine video and personal testimonials about the products.

Partnerships - The company should be members of reputable organizations.

This is how I determine if an MLM company is a viable option to gain passive income or not.
